We needed to replace a leaky kitchen faucet (Price-Pfister) and decided to spend a little more than we had in the past in the hope of getting better quality. We decided to buy this Delta 9159 faucet based on its looks and Amazon consumer reviews. It was fairly easy for my husband to install, and it does look good. The design has pros and cons. The pros include the ability to easily change position, pull down the hose, and change from stream to spray. There's really just one con, but I consider it a fairly major one: it is difficult to control the amount/force of the spray. Usually when I turn the spray on, even if it's pointing straight down into the sink, water gets on the front rim of the counter (and sometimes my shirt). It's pretty annoying, especially if I'm just rinsing one or two things and don't bother to wear an apron. It doesn't seem to bother my husband (who does use the sink for washing dishes and other purposes). He says I just need to get used to it and learn to control it better, but it's been a few weeks and I still can't control it. Guess I'll just learn to live with it.
This is a beautiful faucet. It is just the right size. I was a little worried that it was going to be too big, but it is perfect. The function of the on/off lever feels good.
Good water presser for the spayer. Also, the pull down works great. If I want it to stay down it stays. Docking works great too. There are no problems with the hose sliding through the faucet 'neck'.
The pictures here on Amazon kind of look like the base finish is a little different from the rest of this chrome faucet, but it is polished chrome top to bottom.
It is just a very nice looking, good functioning faucet.
This faucet is the best! It doesn't splash in my deep sink. The spray doesn't go all over the place. It comes out in a straight line so it goes only to where you direct it and you do not have to hold down a button to make it work. The faucet looks fierce, but still attractive. Best kitchen faucet I've ever had and I've had Grohes & Moens previously. Control handle turns only forward (for temp control) or to the right (for flow control), so it is perfect for an installation close to the back splash.
Only drawback, there was not enough weight to make the sprayer retract properly by itself so we added the weight from the faucet it replaced, that did the trick. Once the sprayer retracts it seats itself perfectly due to the magnet.
